Frequently Asked Questions
These questions are specific to our presale. As we grow and ship, we'll keep adding to this page.
oibe isn't for money people, it's for curious people. You don't need a financial plan — just a willingness to be on the other side of the trade. The kit gives you the structure. Your kid brings the curiosity.
No, and no. oibe is a structured system for practicing real financial concepts — buying, earning, and selling. There are no winners, no scores, no levels. Just a kid, a caregiver, and a real exchange.

The Notice kit is first — recommended at age 5. Each kit that follows builds on the last. The cadence starts quarterly, then slows to twice a year, then annually as your kid grows. By 13, they've grown up with the whole system.
Financial habits begin forming before age 7 — through experience, not explanation (Whitebread & Bingham, 2013). Kids as young as 3–5 can grasp financial concepts when they're concrete (Scheinholtz, Holden & Kalish, 2012). The preference for fair exchange develops most rapidly between ages 3 and 8 (Fehr, Bernhard & Rockenbach, 2008). The window is real.
Because at this age, abstract concepts need something to hold. An app removes the friction that makes the lesson real. The physicality is the point.
Ages 4–6, recommended at 5. If your kid is younger, give it a year. If they're older, the next kit is for them — the system is designed to grow with your child.
The Reach kit is next, designed for ages 5–7. It builds on what your kid learned in the Notice kit — same system, expanded concepts. It's in development now. When it's ready, families who reserved the Notice kit hear first.
One kit per family is the current model. The market tray is a household fixture — it belongs to the family, not one kid. What's personal is the Keep bag and the tokens. We're building sibling expansion packs for exactly that: a second Keep and token set without duplicating what you already have. If you have multiple kids who could benefit, let us know — you'll hear first when sibling packs are available.
Late Summer 2026 is our target. If that changes, you'll hear from us.
